CBSE 10th, 12th Annual Examination Notification for all Candidates

The CBSE Board is of the view that further delay in conducting Classes 12th examinations may hamper the chances of admissions in professional courses i.e. medical, engineering, law and other UG admissions. Few entrance examinations are held in accordance with the timelines fixed by the Hon’ble Courts & therefore dates are holy. Similarly, JEE (Main) is also scheduled from 3rd April 2020 to 19th April 2020. The CBSE Board is also clear that for students who are in a position to appear for the board examinations, it would be very stressful & cause immense anxiety if the examinations are further postponed.

As per our ongoing consultations with Delhi Police, the Board exams can be held smoothly and safely now for those students who are in a position to appear for the board examinations. CBSE has also written to the Commissioner of Police, Delhi requesting to make adequate security arrangements in and around Examination centers located in the North East Delhi for the safety of the candidates and getting full support.

Some of the students of the school affected by the incident that has unfolded in the last few days. CBSE is concerned about & is sensitive to the needs of both categories of candidates – those who can appear in the examinations as per schedule from tomorrow onwards, and also those who candidates any problem in appearing in the examination due to difficult circumstances.

Keeping all these Case in mind, the board has decided as follows:

1. CBSE will hold the examinations of both Class-X and XII in the District North East of Delhi from 02.03.2020 as per the schedule given in the date sheet.

2. At the same time, considering the difficult situation that continues with some of the candidates, CBSE is prepared to hold examinations at a later date for such candidates who would not be Efficient to appear for the examinations upto 7 March 2020. The CBSE school Principals have been requested to provide the list of such candidates to the Board who are not Efficient to appear in the exams to be held upto 7th March 2020. The Directorate of Education, Delhi has also been requested by CBSE to provide a list of such candidates who would not be able to appear in the examinations upto the said date.

3. Hence since the Class XII and X examinations would be conducted as per schedule, CBSE requests all concerned to provide support to the candidates who are able to appear for the examinations from tomorrow onwards.
