Although our school commenced its first academic session on 9th April 2007, it was only on 21st February 2008 after the construction of our exclusive the Army Public School, building that the school was formally inaugurated and thus it is this day that is celebrated as our Founders day. At this juncture, the APS school was only till Class 8th. You would be amazed to know that at that juncture the school had 1048 candidates and 15 teachers.

Our School has been a member of the NPSC (National Progressive Schools’ Conference) since 2014. This year we had the privilege of being selected as Executive Team Member of the National Progressive Schools’ Conference Schools.

The crowning glory for our Army school is the fact that it has been awarded the International school award for the year 2014-2017. The feat is even more creditable when you consider the fact that from amongst 137 APS Schools, only 2 schools are recipients of this prestigious award & APS Shankar Vihar is 1 of them.

 

Rules and Regulation

 

1. Two out passes and one medical pass will be allotted to each classroom if the need required for the child to move out of the class for any important work always has with the pass along with him.. Necessary action will be taken if a student is found outside the class without a pass.

2. Parents are required to corporate with the school in developing their children into progressive, balanced, morally strong and effective youth, by helping them to observe the general code of conduct in and outside the school.

3. Misbehavior in the school is dealt with by the Discipline Committee of the School.

4. Students who habitually keep indulging in misbehavior despite repeated warnings by the school teachers will be recommended to the Discipline Committee for action.

5. Late arrival in School

(i) The school gate will close 10 minutes after the 1st bell rings.

(ii) All late arrivals will be punished/ action will be taken if they arrive after the gate has been closed.

(iii) Three late arrivals consequently would lead to the student being sent back home.

(iv) Children arriving after 07:40 hrs will be marked absent.

 

 

following the conditions for withdrawal -:

 

# A student who fails in a class for 2 successive years or fails twice in 3 years.

# Any student caught cheating or using unfair means during an examination will not only be given a zero in the subject concerned but an incident of this nature may lead to his / her expulsion.

# In case a student stops attending the school without any information to the school authorities, his/her name will be struck off the school rolls twenty days after he/she stops attending school.

# Any student who found bullying or ragging within the school premises may lead to his /her expulsion.

Absenteeism

 

A student will be eligible for Final exams only if he/she has at least 75% attendance to his/her credit during the academic session.
