Army Public School Rangapahar
The APS Rangapahar Military Station was situated on 2nd April 1997 with the objective to provide proper schooling facilities to the children of serving soldiers, ex-servicemen, the civil central government employees (transferable) and local civilians. The APS school is under the administrative control of General Officer Commanding three Corps. The school is run under the aegis of AWES and is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi and follows the CBSE syllabus.

Admission
1. Academic Session begins on Ist April every year. Priority is given to Army war widows, children of serving Army personnel, etc. Admission tests are conducted in the 1st part of April for admission to various classes for the new session (Class 2nd onwards).
2. Admission is given to children of serving Army personnel coming on transfer from outstation at any time during the academic session. Children of Army Ex-Servicemen, Air Force( serving and retired) and children of civilians paid out of defense estimates are also eligible for admission.
3. Depending on availability, 20% of seats are given to civilian children. Merit base is the main criterion for the admission of the civilian children. Admission tests will be conducted wherever it is applicable as per Army Welfare Education Society rules.
4. For admission to class I, a student should have completed 5 years of age on 01 April of the year in which admission is sought.

Lateral Admission
# Students who are coming on Pass APS School prompted Transfer from another Army Public School/ KV between the period 01 April to 31 July.
# Children who have studied for 10th academic months in another APS / Army Public School / KV & are seeking admission after 31st July.
# These children to facilitate another academic coaching and allocation of sections for a test may be taken in respect.
# However, who candidates give the test will not be treated as an admission test and who candidates entitled lateral admission will be allowed to attend classes within 48 hours of reporting to the APS school.

For the admission, the student’s age on should be according to the 31st March of the Year

TC from other School
District in which the school is located shall endorse TC in respect of candidates coming from schools other than APS/KVs/Army Public School. the school should clearly indicate whether it is a recognized school.
Change in Date of Birth
Once recorded in the school admission register, change in the date of birth will not normally be accepted, except where overwhelming documentary evidence exists and where a genuine mistake has been committed.
