On 15th January 1980 (Army Day), the Chief of the Army Staff made an announcement regarding the founded of Army Schools throughout the country to impart adequate educational facilities upto 10+2 level for the children of Army personnel. Close on the heels of this announcement came the setting up of four Army Schools in the year 1980, at Bangalore, Udhampur, Dehradun, and Ambala. More & more such schools are being raised to the status of Army Public Schools every year.
Army Public School, Narangi For Admission Academic Year 2020 – 2021
On 28th June 1982, Army Public School (APS), Narangi, commenced its 1st academic year as 1 of the Army Schools. In March 1992 the 1st batch of students both in the Science & Humanities Stream appeared for the Senior School Certificate Examination. In March 1997, the 1st batch of Commerce stream appeared for AISSCE.

The School is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. CBSE Affiliation No. is 0230003. The syllabus and the course are as prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education for the 10+2 system. The school curriculum upto class VIII covers subjects English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, General Knowledge, Art Education, and Computer Education. The school follows the scheme of Continuous & Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) for classes first to 10th.

Rules and Regulation
1. Students can borrow one book at a time from the library for their general study.
2. The maximum number of days for which books can be borrowed is fifteen days
3. Fines may be levied on students on the late return of books.
4. Newspapers, magazines, pamphlets must be handled with care. If any student is found removing any article, pictures, etc. from any magazine/ newspaper, disciplinary action would be taken against the student & he/she would be responsible for replacing the books.
School Rules –
1. Students of Army Public School, Narangi must adhere to the following rules and set a good example of their conduct and behavior.
2. 100% attendance is mandatory for appearing in the School Exam/Board Exam.
3. Attendance of the Morning Assembly is compulsory. Disciplinary action will be taken against causer.
4. Those who come late to the school or remain absent must bring leave notes from the parents giving reasons for coming late or being absent.
5. Those who come by school buses or under their own arrangements, must promptly leave their bags, etc. in their respective classrooms and report for the Assembly.
6. Proper decorum should be maintained in the school buses as well as during morning assemblies.
7. Students must wear a clean and neat uniform as per the approved pattern. No relaxation is acceptable is this regard. Know more rules
8. Waste paper and waste material must be disposed of in the waste paper bins, kept for this purpose.
9. Students must be courteous and gentle in manner. They should pay respect to all elders and teachers.
10. Students are not allowed to wear jewelry or makeup.
