Under the aegis of Ministry of Human Resource Development, the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) is the premier national Board which work is in India capital in Delhi. CBSE board is first and important work is to conduct Board Examinations and for this purpose, it is affiliated with the CBSE schools for conducting Secondary and Senior Secondary Examinations. The affiliation is granted to the schools on the fulfillment of compulsory conditions as laid down in the Affiliation Bye-Laws of Board. In case of non-fulfillment of conditions, the application of schools for affiliation stand rejected & the schools are not allowed to enroll their candidates for Board’s Examinations.

CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) Board has come to the notice of the board that some of the non-affiliated schools whose application is rejected by the Board, or either under process or they have not applied for Affiliation at all, are misleading parents by displaying various display boards at schools, prominent locations and on website showing messages such as, “to be affiliated to CBSE”, “Central Board of Secondary Education Pattern, it is related with the CBSE (likely to be affiliated with CBSE,” running under the aegis of Central Board of Secondary Education)” etc.
According to the as per clause 14.2.2 of its Affiliation Bye-Laws, 2018, the Board doesn’t allow the non-affiliated schools to present the students. So we are informed to the parents who wish to admit their ward(s) in CBSE affiliated schools and the board alerted and requested to check the affiliation status (including, upto what class the affiliation is to the CBSE Board’s examination.

Therefore, the parents who wish to admit their ward (s) in Central Board of Secondary Education affiliated schools are hereby alerted and requested to check the affiliation status (including, upto before admitting their ward to the school what class the affiliation is given by the Board) of a school. The parents may go through the CBSE Affiliation website at www.cbseaff.nic.in, where the link for Region wise/State wise list of affiliated schools has been given and the same also contains the list of disaffiliated schools.
In case of any further clarification, the Regional Office of the Board may be contacted. The list of Regional Offices of the Board with complete address, phone number, and email ID is given on the CBSE website at the link www.cbse.nic.in.
